Mission Statement

Innovation is perhaps best viewed as a socially embedded interactive process, yet much research in the humanities and social sciences is currently conducted in a solitary manner within environments characterised by over-burdened academics who have increasingly less time to interact with each other. The International Interdisciplinary Institute (“The Triple-I”) aims to support well-qualified early-career researchers and interdisciplinary research in the humanities and social sciences by establishing an international network of academics and creative professionals from diverse scholarly and artistic fields. The Triple-I  actively promotes interdisciplinary interactions and constructive dialogue via its activities. The ultimate purpose of these activities is to forge innovative and collaborative projects in a bottom-up manner, and to encourage a wide dissemination of results.
