Scholar-Artist Interactions

An interesting development in organisations in recent years is the increase of experiments with artistic interventions in companies, and anecdotal evidence as well as multi-stakeholder surveys indicate that employees and project managers find such interactions stimulating and enriching, with positive effects for both human resource and organisational development. Such interventions are much less common in the academic sphere. An important aspect of The Triple-I will be to promote interactions between academics and creative professionals. In addition, although the idea of researchers residing together to forge innovative research projects may appear novel within academia, and although The Triple-I can be thought of as a deliberate experimentation with a new form of academic interaction, this organisational form has a long history in the fine arts, and academic guests may learn from the tacit knowledge and accumulated experiences of visiting artists in this regard.
